The 2010 FIFA World Cup kick starts from 11th June in South Africa. Soccer fans across the globe will witness a breath taking encounter when South Africa will face Mexico in the opening match on Friday, at the 90,000-seater Soccer City stadium. Victory for South Africa would naturally give the hosts the perfect start to their Group A campaign. They have improved dramatically under returning Brazilian coach Carlos Alberto Parreira and are unbeaten in their last 12 matches.Mexico, however, have also been in excellent form recently, playing well against England and the Netherlands and moving on to beat world champions Italy 2-1 in Brussels last week. This will be the first time that the tournament has been hosted by an African nation, after South Africa defeated Morocco and Egypt in an all-African bidding process.
