2008 Malegaon blast case: NIA leaves decision on Sadhvi Pragya's bail plea to court

The National Intelligence Agency today filed its reply on the bail application of Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur and two other accused in 2008 Malegaon Blast Case before a special court in Mumbai.<br/>In its open ended reply, the agency has submitted a part of the charge sheet, which says that there are no evidences against Sadhvi Pragya and others. The agency has left it on the court to decide on their bail plea.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Wahab Khan, the lawyer representing one of the blast victims, filed an application in the court to become intervener in this case.<br/>On May 13, the NIA decided not to name Pragya in its chargesheet in connection with the case. The agency also dropped charges against her under the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA).<br/><br/>The NIA in its charge sheet recommended discharging four accused including Sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur, Shyam Sahu, Shiv Narayan Kalsangra and Praveen Takkalki, saying there was no evidence to prosecute them. .
