The government today said that a target of 200 billion US dollars has been set for merchandise export in the year 2010-11. This was informed by Commerce Minister Mr. Anand Sharma in a written reply to the Rajya Sabha today. The Minister said that the government aims at achieving at least 15 per cent growth in exports with the corrective measures and New Foreign Trade Policy in place. Exports saw a steep decline following the global economic slowdown since October 2008.
