20 RRB chairmen to be removed

Railway Minister Ms Mamta Banerjee has ordered the removal of all the 20 Railway Recruitment Board chairmen. Official sources said in New Delhi that the tenure of some of them were about to be over. Reports say the move is to streamline the recruitment process in the second biggest government employer. The Railway Minister last month recommended a CBI probe into corruption charges in the recruitment process of about 20,000 people, selected as Gangmen and Conductors during the previous minister's regime. Besides, applications of 15,000 people are pending approval for group 'D' jobs.
