At least 20 people have been killed and 150 others injured when two suicide car bombers struck a police station and a crowded commercial hub inside a cantonment of the restive North West Pakistan on Saturday amid Taliban's warning of carrying out more such attacks.

In the first attack, a suicide bomber rammed his explosives-laden truck into a police station in Bannu town in the restive North West Frontier Province. The explosion reduced the police station and some nearby homes to rubble and killed 10 people, including two prisoners, two policemen and as many children. Over 60 people, many of them policemen and children going to school were injured. Officials in Islamabad said they feared some persons could still be buried in the rubble of the police station and nearby homes. Several buildings and a mosque were severely damaged by the blast, which created a massive eight-foot-deep crater. Police said the vehicle used in the attack was packed with over 300 kg of explosives. Five hours later, another suicide bomber blew up his explosives-laden vehicle outside a branch of the army-affiliated Askari Bank in a busy commercial area of the NWFP capital of Peshawar.
