2 terrorists killed by security forces in encounter in Sopore area: DGP J&K

In Jammu and Kashmir, Director General of Police, SP Vaid today said, the two terrorists killed by security forces in the encounter in Sopore area, belonged to Hizbul Mujahideen. Talking to reporters in Srinagar, he said the two terrorists were behind an attack on a police party. <br/><br/>The DGP said, a grenade attack was carried out on a police deployment party in Sopore town yesterday in which four policemen were injured. <br/><br/>He said, the description of assailants and CCTV footage helped in identification and arrest of two persons, including one who had hurled the grenade at the police party. <br/><br/>Mr Vaid said during interrogation, the arrested persons provided information about the hideout of the terrorists at whose behest they had carried out the attack. He said both slain terrorists have been identified as Aijaz and Basharat.
