In Nigeria, two suicide bombers killed at least eight people today in the northeastern city of Maiduguri. Army said, in the first attack, a woman blew herself up in front of a camp for displaced persons in the Bakasi area killing five men and injuring 11 women.<br/><br/>It said, another female suicide bomber blew herself up while trying to enter a fuel depot of a state oil firm, killing three persons. Maiduguri is the centre of a seven-year-old insurgency by Islamist Boko Haram militants. The militant group still stages suicide bombings in the northeast, as well as in neighbouring Niger and Cameroon.
