2 Punjab ministers quizzed by CBI in graft case

In Chandigarh ,CBI today questioned two Punjab Ministers ,Industries Minister Manoranjan Kalia and Technical Education Minister Swarna Ram in connection with a corruption case. Two ministers were issued summons by the CBI following the recent arrest of Punjab Chief Parliamentary Secretary and BJP MLA Raj Khurana and an employee Devinder Singh for allegedly demanding a bribe of Rs 1.5 crore from the secretary of Punjab Automobile Mechanic association for closing a complaint case against the association with the help of the two ministers.The two ministers were separately questioned at the CBI state office at Chandigarh today.Later talking to reporters, Industries Minister Mr Kalia said he had told the CBI officials that he had no connection with the graft case. He said that he had not been accused so he would not resign. Technical Education Minister, Mr. Swarna Ram also that he had answered all queries posed by the CBI investigators.
