In Jharkhand, two policemen were killed and five injured in an encounter with the naxals. The encounter started on Tuesday evening at Jhumra hills under Gomia police station near Bokaro. The injured have been shifted to a private hospital in Ranchi.In another incident, three arms suppliers to the naxals were arrested in a joint operation by the Ranchi and Lohardagga police. The ammunitions in their possession were to be supplied to a naxal sub-zonal commander.Meanwhile, a five member team of the National Human Right Commission has arrived at Kiriburu in West Singhbhum to enquire into complaints of alleged police excesses during a recently concluded operation ‘Anaconda’ against the naxals in the Saranda forest range. AIR correspondent reports, the team will visit different spots on Wednesday to collect information.
