2 more Ministers inducted in WB State Cabinet

In West Bengal, two more Ministers have been inducted in the State Cabinet. The new Ministers are Mr. Dasarath Tirkey and Dr. Soumendra Nath Bera. The Governor, Mr. N.K. Narayanan administered the oath of office and secrecy to the Ministers at a simple function at Raj Bhavan in Kolkata this morning. Mr. Tirkey will assume the charge of Minister of State for Public Works Department while Dr. Bera will be the Minister of State for Information and Cultural Affairs. The Chief Minister, Mr.Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee, his Cabinet colleagues and the Left Front Chairman, Mr. Biman Basu were present at the swearing in ceremony. <br/><br/> AIR Kolkata Correspondent reports that two berths in the State Cabinet were fallen vacant due to election of Mr. Manohar Tirkey to the Lok Sabha and death of Power Minister, Mrinal Banerjee. With these inclusions, the strength of the state cabinet has gone up to 44.
