In Jharkhand, two Maoists today surrendered before police. They surrendered with arms before Jharkhand Police Chief Neyaz Ahmed yesterday. Five Maoists had earlier surrendered in Palamau, Bokaro and Ramgarh. Under the rehabilitation package launched by the government, a surrendered ultra from a banned outfit will get Rs 2.5 lakh, a plot and Rs 50,000 to construct a house, free healthcare and loan to start business.
