In West Bengal, two persons were killed and four others injured in a clash between two groups of anti-social elements at Chitpur in Kolkata today. The City Police Chief, Mr. Gautam Mohan Chakrabarty told AIR that both the warring groups indiscriminately used bombs and firearms during the clash. The anti-social groups were supported by two rival political parties. Strong police contingents including Rapid Action Force have been deployed in the area.
