In Iraq, two people were killed in a blast in the eastern Diyala province while some 20 people poisoned by chlorine gas in a residential area in the province.According to a source from the provincial operations command, two gunmen were killed when an explosive vest detonated in their hideout in an under-construction house in Gatoon area, west of Diyala's capital city of Baquba.The gunmen, apparently, were preparing for a suicide attack in the province. In a separate incident, 20 people were admitted to hospitals after a cloud of leaked chlorine gas rose over a residential area near Baquba. According to police, the incident occurred when cylinders of chlorine gas, used in a water treatment plant, exploded.
