Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation, GSPC and Adani Gas Ltd have reduced prices of Compressed Natural Gas, CNG by more than 11 rupees per kg and Piped Natural Gas, PNG by over 6 rupees per standard cubic meter, SCM. New rates came into effect midnight last night. While new price of CNG in Ahmedabad and Vadodara will 46.75 rupees per Kg, it will be 44.90 rupees per kg in the rest of Gujarat. A state government release said, the new price of PNG will be 23.80 rupees SCM excluding VAT. The price revision has been made by the two firms in the wake of allocation of additional quantity of cheaper gas under revised guidelines issued by the Central Government. State-run GSPC and the private firm Adani Gas are city gas distribution entities supplying CNG and PNG to consumers in Gujarat.While Adani Gas caters to consumers in Ahmedabad and Vadodara, GSPC and its units provide CNG and PNG to other parts of Gujarat.
