In West Bengal, two persons were killed when police opened fire to stop Gorkha Janmukti Morcha supporters from taking out a march in Jalpaiguri district violating prohibitory orders. The incident, triggered unrest in Darjeeling hills with government vehicles and offices set on fire by the Morcha workers.IG (North Bengal) Ranbir Kumar said clashes erupted when the police dismantled illegal temporary camps of the Morcha built near Shipchu inside a reserve forest.
