A two day National Conference to deliberate upon the strategy for the forthcoming rabi season will begin in New Delhi tomorrow. The conference to be inaugurated by Agriculuture and Food Processing Industries Sharad Pawar will also discuss the progress in sowing of crops during the current kharif season.

An official release stated that some of the other important issues to be discussed include the possibility of additional areas under summer rice, pulses and wheat, procurement plan for ensuring timely supply of inputs to farmers and promotion of micro-nutrients. Centrally sponsored flagship schemes of the Ministry of Agriculture will also be discussed during the Conference.
