The two day international meeting on Syria starts in the Kazakhstan capital, Astana today. A high level delegation of guarantors of the Syrian ceasefire, Russia, Turkey and Iran, UN special envoy for Syria, Staffan de Mistura and representative from Jordan as well as US Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs, Stuart Jones will attend the meeting. <br/><br/>The delegation of the Syrian government will be headed by the permanent representative of Syria to the United Nations, Bashar Jaafari. the delegation of the armed opposition will be led by the representative of the Jaysh al-Islam group Mohammed Allush.<br/>
