2 day First India China Think-Tanks Forum concludes

The two day First India-China Think-Tanks Forum concluded in New Delhi today. A joint press release said in-depth discussions on various issues were held, including on relations between India and China, strengthening strategic communication, promoting economic relations, and regional economic and security architecture.<br/><br/>Strategic thinkers, economists, academics, and social scientists from both countries participated in the forum. The participants felt that the India-China relation is one of the important relations of the 21st century, agreeing that it could play a significant role in bringing economic development in Asia-Pacific region. <br/>The Forum provides an institutional platform for regular and continued exchanges between the think-tank communities in the two countries. <br/><br/>It also creates an enabling framework to deliberate on issues and provide structured advice and recommendations to governments on both sides. <br/><br/>The Forum was jointly organized by the Institute of Chinese Studies, the Indian Council of World Affairs, and the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The second Forum will be organised in Beijing next year. <br/>
