1st zero-fuel aeroplane Solar Impulse leaves Cairo for Abu Dhabi

The first zero-fuel aeroplane, Solar Impulse, has left the Egyptian capital, Cairo, on the last leg of its global tour.<br/><br/>The aircraft should take about 48 hours to reach Abu Dhabi, UAE – the place it began the circumnavigation in March 2015. <br/><br/>Swiss pilot Bertrand Piccard was behind the controls of Solar Impulse, which can fly for days on only energy from the sun.<br/><br/>Solar Impulse arrived in Cairo after a two-day flight from Spain, finishing the 3,745 kilometre journey with an average speed of 76.7 kilometres an hour.<br/><br/>It had earlier landed in Seville after completing the first solo transatlantic flight powered only by the sun.
