Sri Lanka beat India by five wickets in the first Twenty20 international cricket match in Pune to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series.Inexperienced Sri Lankan fast bowlers Kasun Rajitha and Dasun Shanaka took three wickets each to bundle out India for a paltry 101 in 18.5 overs and set up a five-wicket victory for the visitors last night.Rajitha, making his international debut, dismissed Rohit Sharma and Ajinkya Rahane in the first over to give Sri Lanka a perfect start after they chose to bowl first on a lively track.Chasing the target, Sri Lanka made 105 runs for the loss of five wickets with two overs to spare. For Sri Lanka, Dinesh Chandimal scored 35 and Chamara Kapugedara contributed 25 runs.Ravichandran Ashwin top-scored with an unbeaten 31 to take India past the three-figure mark. Apart from Ashwin only Yuvraj Singh 10 and Suresh Raina 20 reached the double figures. Ashish Nehra and Ashwin claimed two wickets each.The second match of the series will be played in Ranchi on Friday.
