1st international conference on strengthening health systems to be held in Chennai

To share national and international experiences in improving health systems, the first International Conference on Health Systems Strengthening will be held in Chennai from the seventh to the tenth of May. <br/><br/>Briefing newspersons in Chennai this evening, Tamil Nadu Minister for Health and Family Welfare Thiru M. R K Paneerselvam said that the state has achieved commendable results in strengthening health systems. He said the proposed Conference will provide a suitable platform for discussing and cross-learning the different best practices of health systems from across the world.<br/><br/>The conference would also identify key priority areas for action and give guidance to policy makers to improve the health system in India.<br/><br/>Union Minister of Health and Family Welfare will inaugurate the conference. Union and state health secretaries, policy makers and senior officials of the health ministry, health care providers, activists and students are expected to attend.
