The first Regional Conclave on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is being organised in Cochin today. It is being chaired by Secretary, Department of Public Enterprises Mr. D.R.S. Chaudhary.According to an official press release issued in New Delhi, this conclave is the first of a series of Regional Conclaves being organised with Central Public Sector Enterprises(CPSEs) located in each region, in the next couple of months.The Regional Conclaves on CSR aim to engage various stakeholders in an interactive discussion for inclusive growth and development of the society.As State Governments play a vital role as stakeholders in CSR activities, Mr. Chowdhary has written to the Chief Secretaries of states to ensure active participation in the Conclave. This will ensure better planning and successful implementation.
