1st cricket Test between India & England ends in draw at Trent Bridge in Nottingham

The first cricket Test between India and England ended in a draw at Trent Bridge in Nottingham last night. The visitors scored 457 and 391 for 9 in their two innings while the hosts were bowled out for 496 in their only essay. James Anderson was awarded the man of the match for his maiden Test fifty wherein he scored 81 runs and put on a world record 10th wicket stand of 198 runs with Joe Root who scored 154 runs himself.For visitors, Bhuvneshwar Kumar scored two half-centuries, with Stuart Binny and Mohammad Shami also scoring maiden Test fifties. The second Test will begin at Lord's on 17th July.
