<span style="color: #222222;">The first consignment of green peas and white brinjals of Varanasi has been shipped from direct flight from Varanasi to Sharjah today.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The shipment was flagged-off by Dr. M Angamuthu, Chairman of agricultural and processed food products export development authority, APEDA and Deepak Agrawal, Divisional Commissioner Varanasi.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">AIR Correspondent reports that after successfully exporting Langda and the Dussehri variety of mangoes and green chillies of neighbouring district Ghazipur to many districts it is time to taste the fresh green peas and white brinjal of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's constituency Varanasi. The consignment of One metric ton fresh vegetables is the first one to be transported from Lal Bahadur Shastri International airport of Varanasi to Sharjah directly. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">It will also open new avenues for farmers of the Poorvanchal region. Earlier the consignments were sent from Varanasi to the ports of Gujarat and Mumbai and then they were shipped to other countries but with the start of direct cargo flight from Varanasi to Sharjah recently, the fresh products will reach directly to the markets abroad in less time.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Dr. M Angamuthu, Chairman of APEDA said on the occasion that farm products of Varanasi and neighbouring districts are being exported to other countries and very soon Varanasi will become the hub for agriculture exports and food processing.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Commissioner Deepak Agrawal said that in the coming days the agricultural products of Varanasi and neighbouring districts will be sent to Bangladesh and other South Asian countries through waterways also.</span><br />
