The first consignment of COVID-19 vaccine 'Covishield' arrived today in Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The consignment has been sent to Central Vaccine Depot at G B Pant Hospital in Port Blair.  Adequate security arrangements were made at the airport for handing over the vaccine. <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The COVID-19 vaccination drive is going to begin from 16th January in the islands.  In the first phase, the Covishield will be given to 4687 healthcare workers. Initially, the vaccination will be carried out at two sites in Port Blair i.e. G B Pant Hospital and Ayush Hospital which later extended to other six sites located at different Islands.</span><br />
