The first Annual Conference of West Asia Chapter of the Indian Society of Gastroenterology (ISG) concluded in Dubai last evening. The two-day conference was seen significant in recognition of the growing numbers of Indian Medical professionals in West Asia and the important role India is playing in the region in promoting gastroenterology. It has provided an excellent platform to share and exchange experiences in the field of Gastroenterology in the region.<br/> <br/>The President elect of ISG, Dr. Ashok Chako told AIR in an exclusive interview that the focus of the conference was to provide the latest scientific and evidence-based work applicable to clinical practice in the field of Gastroenterology, Liver Disease and Therapeutic Endoscopy. <br/> <br/>For the first time in the United Arab Emirates and in the field of gastroenterology there was a Live Advance Therapeutic Endoscopy workshop beamed from Asian Institute of Gastroenterology Hyderabad. <br/>
