The burial of 1993 Mumbai serial blast convict Yakub Memon took place peacefully amidst high security at the Bada kabristan in Marine lines area in South Mumbai this evening. Family members and relatives offered final prayers. <br/><br/>No untoward incident was reported in the city and across the state. The city police had ensured tight security blanket across the city and prominent places including Memon's house in Mahim, and also near airport and railways stations. <br/><br/>Yakub Memon's body was brought to Mumbai this afternoon from Nagpur by special air ambulance amid tight security. His relatives were with his corpse after jail authorities handed over it to them. His execution was carried out this morning at around 7 am at Nagpur central jail.
