1993 Mumbai blasts case: Won't seek pardon , will surrender on time says Dutt

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt today said that he will not seek pardon and surrender in time following the Supreme Court order sentencing him to five years imprisonment in the 1993 Mumbai blasts case. Sanjay Dutt today made his first media appearance after the Supreme Court Supreme Court order.

While addressing a press conference in Mumbai, the actor said that he had the highest respect for the apex court and will abide by all terms and conditions put forth by it. He also urged the people and the media not to debate over the issue.

Sanjay Dutt has already served 18 months in jail; he would now have to undergo imprisonment for another three-and-a-half-years. The apex court has given him four-weeks time to surrender.
