Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar informed the Lok Sabha today that altogether 193 houses have been fully or partially damaged in Jammu and Kashmir because of ceasefire violations by Pakistan since 2012. <br/><br/>A large number of families have been affected as a result. In a written reply he told the House that India has always appealed to Pakistan to uphold the sanctity of the Line of Control, LoC. <br/><br/>It has repeatedly impressed upon Pakistan to abide by the ceasefire commitment of 2003 along the international border and LoC. Mr Parrikar assured the House that all areas along the borders are fully under surveillance by the troops and aerial, optronic and electronic means.
