19 passengers and crew killed in Nepal plane crash

In Nepal, all the 19 passengers and three crew members on board a small passenger plane have been killed in an air crash. AIR correspondent reports that twin otter aircraft belonging to Para airlines took off from Eastern Nepal Lamidanda airport in Khotang district at 3.08 pm yesterday and within minutes of taking off it lost contact with control tower. The plane was flying to Kathmandu from Lamindanda. According to police, the aircraft broke into pieces and got scattered over 200 meters in the mountainous Gauraban forest in Okhladunga district. They said arrangements are being made to airlift the bodies to Kathmandu.
