In Pakistan, at least nineteen people, including two security personnel and 17 militants, have been killed in violence in northwest part of the country. The government officials said that two security personnel have been killed and another was injured when an improvised explosive device went off in Sararogha area of South Waziristan tribal region yesterday.The explosion occurred when troops were clearing landmines from a key road in the area. Sources said that additional security forces reached the spot after the blast and launched a search for those responsible for the attack. Security forces gunned down 17 militants in a clash during Operation Spring Cleaning, to flush out rebels from areas surrounding Peshawar city. Troops also captured nine militants, including explosives expert Abdul Qadeer alias Dangar Mulla, in Kohat area.Officials said Dangar Mulla, considered the mastermind of several bomb attacks, was an expert in preparing explosives used in bombs and suicide jackets.
