In China, nineteen people were killed and 50 others injured in an explosion triggered by fireworks in southern part of the country.<br/><br/> Xinhua news agency reported on Saturday that the explosion occurred on Friday night when some villagers in Guangdong Province set off firework in front of a house to celebrate the Lunar New Year. <br/><br/>Fireworks are a major part of the New Year celebrations, which have lasted more than two weeks. But they are also a major cause of deadly accidents in China, with hundreds killed each year.<br/>
