In Uttar Pradesh about 180 persons have been arrested from curfew hit areas in Bareilly for their alleged involvement in violence and violation of curfew restrictions. No relaxation has been given in curfew hit all four police stations of Baradari, Prem Nagar, Kotwali and Quila in Bareilly city.The Deputy Inspector General Police DIG Bareilly Range Mr. LV Antony D Kumar told AIR Allahabad correspondent this evening that no fresh incident of violence was reported from curfew hit areas today.Curfew was imposed last night in the areas after incidents of firing, stone pelting and arson between two rival groups. Initially curfew was imposed only in Jagatpur police out post area under Baradari police station. police men and press photographers were injured. A total of 18 companies of security forces including Rapid Action Force RAF have been deployed at all sensitive areas and police patrolling intensified.All educational institutions will remain closed till further orders. Local administration has claimed that situation in Bareilly city is tense but under control. He said that all possible measures are being taken to maintain peace and harmony.
