Yemeni army said 18 Shiite rebels have been killed and dozens wounded in clashes with its forces in northern Saada Province. A military source today said the army killed 13 militants in al-Kharab area, while local people attacked rebels sheltered in some houses killing three more. The source added that the government forces confronted last night with the rebels in al-Qaham area killing two of them and another insurgent was killed by a sniper shot in a nearby area. During a combing operation in Saada Province, the army seized huge quantity of ammunition and weapons and discovered more hideouts used by the rebels.
