18 killed in suicide bomb blast in Afghanistan

In Afghanistan, at least 18 people including a policeman were killed in a suicide bombing this morning in the western Farah province. Police said the attack injured 36 others, including eight children. The suicide bomber riding a motorcycle self-detonated next to the governor's house in the capital, Farah city. Farah police chief Mohammed Faqeer Asker said police have reason to think the bomber was a Pakistani.<br/>In another incident, three civilians were killed and three others injured as their car hit a roadside bomb in Eastern Khost city.<br/>The attacks occurred the day after Afghan President Hamid Karzai was sworn in for a second term, pledging to try to bring peace to the nation and take over security from foreign forces in five years.<br/><br/>
