In Punjab, 18 persons were killed in a road accident near Moga on Sunday night.

The incident occurred when the jeep, in which the victims were traveling, collided head on with a truck coming from Ferozpur side. Police told AIR that 11 victims belonged to one family.

The victims were returning to their village Daulatpura Ucha and Daulatpura Niwam after paying obeisance at Nanaksar Gurdwara. Truck driver is absconding.
