In Pakistan, at least 18 people have been killed in a blast in a passenger bus on Hangu Road in Kohat in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province. Police said, the ill-fated vehicle was coming from Hangu when the blast took place. Rescue teams and the police have reached the spot. DIG, Kohat, Masood Afridi told media persons that nature of the blast was still not known, rejecting earlier reports of a suicide attack. Terrorism can not be ruled out, he said. Security forces have cordoned off the area.Meanwhile, a complete ban has been imposed on pillion riding in Karachi for an indefinite period following growing cases of targeted killings. Patrolling of law enforcing agencies will also be boosted during night hours in sensitive areas of the metropolis. The decision was taken at a meeting presided over by Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah and attended by Pakistan's Interior Minister Rehman Malik, as well as high ups of the police and law enforcement agencies.
