The 17th North East Zone Inter State Badminton Championship kicked off today at the Raj Bhawan badminton hall, Itanagar. The four day championship was inaugurated by Arunachal Governor Lt. Gen (Retd) Nirbhay Sharma in the presence of Lok Sabha MP Takam Sanjoy this morning.Around 300 players from all the eight north eastern states are participating in the event organized by the Arunachal State Badminton Association under the aegis of the Badminton Association of India. Host Arunachal Pradesh is represented by as many as 11 shuttlers.
