The 17th edition of Asian Games has kicked off at Incheon with a grand opening ceremony. In the athletes march past, Indian hockey captain Sardar Singh led the country's contingent. Nepal led the march past. Around 13,000 athletes from 45 nations will be competing in the quadrennial event. For India, 516 athletes will be seen vying for top honours. The competitions will start from tomorrow. A rich cultural heritage of the Korean peninsula was part of the spectacular opening ceremony.Meanwhile Prime Minister Narendra Modi has conveyed his best wishes to Indian athletes who are participating in 2014 Asian Games at Incheon. Mr Modi exuded confidence that the sportspersons will surely make India proud.
