<span style="color: #222222; font-size: 13.3333px;">Minister of State for Civil Aviation Hardeep Singh Puri has informed  the Lok Sabha that under the Regional Connectivity Scheme (RCS)-  UDAN Scheme, 174 routes are operational connecting the country's 39 Airports. <br />''<br />''</span><span style="color: #222222;">Answering questions raised by various members, he said that UDAN Scheme is performing well.<br />''<br />''He also informed the house that modernization of various airports is underway and that it depends on  participation of  State Governments.  <br />''<br />''To another question,  Minister said that the fares are fixed by the carriers themselves after 1994. He also assured the members that government will sit with the private carriers and insist  that on specific situations like disruption of road services, they cannot hike the rates beyond their listed fares.</span><br />
