1702 cases of H1N1 influenza confirmed in Karnataka

The Karnataka Health Minister Mr Sriramulu informed that 1702 cases of H1N1 influenza were confirmed between January and August this year. He further said 95 deaths were reported during this period. He said, to prevent spread of H1N1 in the state, house to house awareness campaign will be launched about preventive measures. He further advised that four authorised testing centres should only be utilised by hospitals sending samples of suspects. He assured that there is sufficient supply of tamiflu tablets, IV fluids and sample testing tools in the state.
