In Pakistan, at least 17 militants have been killed and 15 injured in US drones attacks in lawless North Waziristan tribal region. Up to eight unmanned spy planes participated in the coordinated attack and fired 18 missiles at multiple targets in the Datta Khel area, located 45 km from Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan. <br/>23 militants and two soldiers were killed in fierce fighting when in northwest Pakistan even as troops apprehended 23 rebels during search and clearance operations. Authorities said that the fierce clashes erupted when a group of Taliban militants attacked a security check post in Mula Said area of Bajaur tribal region.
