17 killed, 8 hurt in attack on Burkina Faso restaurant

At least 17 people were killed and eight wounded in a provisional toll from an attack on a restaurant in Burkina Faso's capital, Ouagadougou, last night. Communications Minister Remi Dandjinou told a news conference today that Gunmen attacked the Aziz Istanbul restaurant late on Sunday and security forces were deployed to try to end the attack.<br/>'<br/>There was no immediate claim of responsibility and it was not known whether there were any casualties. Burkina Faso, a landlocked nation in West Africa, is one of the poorest countries in the world. It shares a northern border with Mali, which has long battled Islamic extremists.
