In Odisha, at least 17 people died and more than a dozen seriously injured when a tipper truck overturned on Friday at Dasmantpur Block in Koraput district. 14 people died on the spot, two succumbed to their injuries on way to the Koraput district hospital while one person died in the hospital in the incident the occurred in the wee hours. Those with minor injuries were provided first aid at the local hospital in Dasmantpur block. AIR correspondent reports, the accident occurred when more than 50 people from nearby villages of Dasmantpur were returning after attending the annual Dushera festival celebrations.
