17 Indian youth awarded death penalty by UAE court return home

17 Indian youth, who were convicted and awarded death penalty on March 28th, 2010 by a UAE court, have returned home, today, after the settlement of the case. They were on death row for the murder of a Pakistani national Misri Khan in a bootlegging case in 2009. They were released after paying 6 crore rupees as blood money. They all landed at Delhi Airport this morning. The youth, 16 from Punjab and One from Haryana, are reaching Amritsar by afternoon.

Our correspondent reports that released after more than three years of flip-flops, these jubilant youth were almost in tears when they touched down at New Delhi. All of them are in their early thirtys.They will reaching Amritsar to pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib where they would also be joined by their families.
Subhan from Jalandhar, Kuldeep Singh from Moga and Taranjeet, the only one from Haryana were happy to be back. Unable to control their emotions and at the same time speechless to say anything, they were thanking God and Mr. Oberoi and the Indian govt. for helping them in coming back home.
Most of them said that now they do not want to go abroad and rather would find work here to earn their livelihood.
