16th Partnership Summit beginning in Chennai tomorrow

As indications that the worst of the financial crisis is over, Heads of States, Prime Ministers, Trade and Industry ministers from various countries will deliberate on a mechanism to regulate financial markets at the 16th Partnership Summit beginning in Chennai tomorrow.<br/><br/>President of Maldives Mohammed Naseed and Malaysian Prime Minister Mohammed Najib bin Tun Abdul Razak, are the guests of honor at the summit. Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Mr. Anand Sharma, will address the inaugural session.<br/><br/>The highlight of the Summit will be the Malaysian exhibition on Real Estate to promote the country as a preferred real estate destination among investors.<br/><br/>A Memorandum of Understanding is also expected to be signed between Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and Malaysia India Business Council.<br/><br/>Over 1000 delegates from 26 countries attending the two day conclave would discuss key global issues including regulation of the global financial system, climate change, food security and India’s partnership role in evolving roadmaps for the next decade. <br/>The Summit, a joint initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry and CII aims to set the pace for a new global agenda of collaboration and teamwork among the economies of the world.
