16th National Youth Festival has begun in Udaipur in Rajasthan on Wednesday. Vice President Mohd Hamid Ansari inaugurated the five day festival and presented awards to 22 youth for their excellent work.Vice President called youth to prepare themselves to face challenges before the society and nation. He said that there is a need of more attention on health, discipline and social service.Union Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs M.S. Gill said that government will provide all facilities at village level for preparing sports person of excellence. More than 5000 youth from 35 states and Union territories and Bangladesh, Bhutan and Sri Lanka are participating in the festival. Various cultural programmes would also be organised during the festival.
