16th National Gathering of Bharat Scouts & Guides begins in Hyderabad

The 16th National Gathering of Bharat Scouts and Guides has begun on Monday at Sankarapalli on the outskirts of Hyderabad. Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan will be formally inaugurating the 10-day National Jamboree tomorrow. About 25 thousand scouts and Guides from all over the country are taking part in the event, which is organised once in every four years. It will provide an opportunity to scouts and guides to display their skills, share experiences and know about customs, practices, cultures of different parts of the country. Representatives from SAARC countries including SriLanka, Nepal, Pakistan, Maldives are also taking part in the event. The national Jamboree is being held in Andhra Pradesh for the first time after 57 years.
