<br/>The 16th edition of LED Expo, a renowned fair to showcase innovations in LED lighting, components and technologies began in Mumbai on Thursday. <br/><br/>The expo was inaugurated by Director General of Maharashtra Energy Development Agency, Mr. Rajaram Mane who reiterated Maharashtra government's committment to promote energy efficiency by giving LED bulbs at highly subsidised price and replacing all conventional bulbs in government establishments with LED products. <br/><br/>Mr. Mane said homes, office buildings, shops and malls consume more than 25 percent of electricity and hence it is necessary to make them energy efficient. Over 200 companies from India, China, Hong Kong, Korea and Taiwan will be exhibiting their products at this three-day fair. <br/><br/>
