16th Asiad: India bags One Silver and One Bronze today

At the 16th Asiad in Guangzhou today, India won a silver and a bronze medal. The snooker trio of veteran Yasin Merchant, Sneh Aditya Mehta and Brijesh Damani collected the Silver when they lost to hosts China in the final.In Tennis, the men's team had to be content with a bronze when they went down 1-2 against Chinese Taipei in the semi-finals.In Swimming, Virdhawal Khade narrowly missed out on a medal when he ended up fourth in the 50 metre freestyle event just 0.03 seconds behind the eventual bronze-medallist. In Hockey, the men's team started their campaign defeating Hong Kong 7-nil in their first Group 'B' match.India's medals tally in the Games now stand at One Gold, Four Silver and Three Bronze.
